TRANSCRIPT

Hi my name is Bryan, Bryan Smith, and I am from Indonesia, studying pre-engineering at Pierce College. My first day was quite interesting, since... I landed on July 10th, 2013, and I didn’t know what my host father look like. So I was stuck in the airport for probably half an hour, try to find somebody who’s not my host father. And, after, when we found him, when I found him, when they found me, I was greeted at home to my host mom, and with a hug of course, and I felt very comfortable and I arrived on my host mom’s birthday, which I never knew. So that was a surprise. Surprise! Ooo dinner I can remember it was a corn bread, chili, I don’t know why I remember but, and what else, I think I sat down in the living room, watched a little TV, and I went to bed. That’s when, that’s my first day. When I first came here, I felt a little, I don’t know how to explain it, a little uncomfortable because I didn’t know anybody here. And I have never been to Washington, so it was, everything was new. But, I feel very comfortable now, everything’s changed. If I didn’t move here, my life would be trashed. So if I stay there, I rather try to find my own place and live with somebody, so I picked Washington instead because it’s new and I have a sense of adventure, and decided why not? So I just went to Washington.
