Inder Singh Randhawa, or ISR, enjoys his job writing and publishing lyrics, producing songs and creating videos. He uses music to bridge cultures and people, and there’s no better place to do it than the most diverse city in USA; Houston, Texas.

Where (city and country) were you living before you came to the U.S.?
I was born in Jalandhar, Punjab, India.
What caused you to migrate from your home country to the US?
My parents made the decision to move here and I’m glad they did.
How old were you when you came to the US?
I was 10 years old.
What year and where (city and state) did you arrive in the United States?
In 1994, I arrived in Houston, Texas.
What are your memories of your first day?
My first memory of America was noticing big cars and buildings.
What were your first impressions of the country?
My first impression of America was like love at first sight!
What was the hardest thing about being an immigrant to the US?
The hardest thing about being an immigrant was not knowing English well enough to communicate properly.
What was the best thing about being an immigrant to the US?
Best thing about being an immigrant in America is that you are not alone. This country is a great melting pot.
