TRANSCRIPT

We arrived to Seattle in July, 2000.

For me, actually I was an exchange student in Wichita, Kansas a long time ago, like because I did my high school there. That’s where I learned my English. But for my Husband and my son it was the first time.

I came with a lot of dreams for my family, and I was a little bit, it was like I was happy but I was also a little bit afraid because everything was very new to us. We left our lives in Ecuador to start a new life here. So, it was very exciting, but at the same time it was scary.

So probably like the first day is like, “Okay, I am not on vacation, I am going to live here.”

With time, we have been changing our lives, and now we are lucky to have our own business. And, I think that’s pretty much right now we still have a lot of dreams, a lot of things to do, but we can say that we are thankful to be here and that we are happy.
