My name is Young Vaughn and I came here from Korea, Seoul, 1989 March 8th. When I board on the airplane, I was so excited I'm going to a very developed country, America. You know, everybody in Korea, they really yearned to go to America. I was expecting, it’s a really huge and big city - more bigger than Seoul. But I was a little surprised that it was lots smaller than that. First time we just came here actually we don't have any house because my husband we used to living in five years in Korea, so first time we just came to America we don’t have any house, so we just looking for a hotel either motel - just temporary staying. I really don't have any plan or I didn't even think about how long I'm gonna live in America. But actually when I came to America I was so disappointed and totally difference [pause] perspective of what I thought, so I was planning to go back right away. But I since I started to study so maybe after finished the school, then I'm gonna go back. But after year and years, then I, after school finished, I got a job right away. I still want to go back to Korea or hometown but, kind of, time is so fast. And, just lost to going back to hometown.
