What was your first day in the US like?
I was comparing more towards like, all my life was in Canada. So it's not that much of a difference. The only thing is like, you know, compared to Canada, the U.S. was not as clean as it is. When I transitioned from the third world country to here, I mean, that was a big difference. Coming from Canada to the U.S. was not much of a difference because it’s almost the same country, like the same kind of culture and not much of a difference in rules and regulations and everything. What I found was that people are a little bit rude here, that's for sure. But after a few days, I found there's a lot of opportunities in this country. That's what I saw. That was my first impression of the United States.
What was the reason why you came to the United States?
I was a medical technologist by profession. So I got a job here. That's why I moved here.
Do you remember the date you moved to the United States?
May 2000.
Was your wife pregnant with your daughter before you came to the United States?
Not yet. She came to study here. She was here a couple months before I joined her.
