The only thing on my mind was "When will I go back?" It was a torture especially for first few days when I didn't have anyone from India or I know of to talk to or couldn't eat any thing being a vegetarian. It was like a heaven to see few folks from India. No Indian restaurant or Indian food easily accessible. I have seen people making Puri and Chappathi by using the 'Buttermilk Biscuits'. That is it. Pizza was the life saver. Order a pizza and six of us share.. one slice each! I was a student living in dormitory. I mistook french fries for some meat preparation and didn't eat it for six months. Embarrassed to ask. My breakfast, lunch and dinner each consisted of the same.. two bowls of cereal, two glasses of milk and fruits. I couldn't even eat any boiled vegetables from the cafeteria since they added chicken or beef broth to them.. even now. Waited two or three days to make a phone call to India at four or five dollars a minute. I will be dying to receive letters by mail. No other choice.
